Palm Jumeirah: the frond is the journey.
The Palm is about eight kilometres from the shop, and almost none of that number is useful. What decides your trip is where on the Palm you are, a trunk address and a frond address are two different journeys, and a hotel guest with a broken phone has a third problem again.

- Fifteen to twenty-five minutes from the trunk. From the outer fronds or the far end by Atlantis, plan on more.

- The Palm Monorail runs the trunk down to Gateway Towers; from there it is a taxi across to the Marina.
- Collection
- We collect from the Palm. Free collection stops at the Marina, JBR and JLT, and this is a longer drive than any of them. Send the trunk or frond and the frond number, and we will price it.

Residents and guests want opposite things.
If you live on the Palm, the cost of a repair is the driving. Message first with the model and the fault so you are not making the trip only to be told the part is on order. That one message is worth more here than anywhere else on this list, because here it saves a frond in each direction.
If you are staying in a hotel, the constraint is the clock, so put your check-out date in the first message. You will be told straight away whether it is realistic: screen and battery work is usually the same visit, while board-level work is traced before it is quoted and will not be hurried to fit a flight. Being told no on Monday is a great deal more use than being told no on Thursday.

How long is the drive, really?
From the trunk, fifteen to twenty-five minutes. From an outer frond or the far end by Atlantis, more. The frond has to be driven out and back before you have even reached Al Sufouh Road. That is exactly why the message-first advice matters more here than anywhere else.
